Update 1/11/2026

In the past month, we have made a lot of progress. The Mechanical Division has finished building the rear suspension, and the front suspension has been fully manufactured. The steering is also fully designed and being installed. The Electrical Division found suitable solar panels for our vehicle. We have also been coding the control board repairing the dashboard, and getting batteries for our car. The Business Division has been working on a new fundraiser to raise money for our car. We have also made our website cleaner, easier to navigate. We would like to start sending updates more consistently, so expect updates every month around this time (including photos!).

Update 12/14/2025

The Mechanical Division has finished designing the steering system for our car in CAD. We have also been researching a braking system that would work for our car. Additionally, we have started building our rear suspension, and our front suspension is currently being machined by a Mechanical Engineering Technology Student at Central Michigan University! The Electrical Division has started making a supplemental battery system for our car. The Business Division has raised more than $3,000 from our fall cleanup! Big thanks to everyone involved! We would especially like to thank ECE Group Cleaning for donating tools for the Fall Fundraiser. Their donation helped make this fundraiser possible, and let us support our community. We are greatly thankful for their generosity!

Update 11/13/2025

New school year means new team and new car! This year, we will be building another car from scratch with several new members joining the team. As most of our experienced members graduate, we look forward to working with our new members and teaching them the skills required to design, build, and raise money for the construction of our new solar car. In the upcoming weeks, we hope to continue improving our vehicle design and work efficiently around the clock to develop the best possible solar car. We're thrilled to get another opportunity to show off our creativity and are ready for the journey that lies ahead!
